Commissioned by Altered, Contemporary Art in Ancient Churches, Ophelia‘s Ghost is an installation featuring a holographic projection of a drowning woman into water. Shakespeare‘s tragic character Ophelia, a young woman who drowned herself, has inspired many strikingly beautiful paintings and images. In this piece the water surface of an old basin is used as a canvas for the haunting hologram of Ophelia‘s ghost submerged under the water‘s surface. The piece has been exhibited across the UK in churches, crypts and museums.
