Kristin McGuire: Dancer
Besides working with Davy McGuire as a joint director Kristin still pursues her career as a dancer.
She originally trained as a rhythmic gymnast at the Olympic Training Centre Chemnitz/Dresden, was Rhythmic Sports Gymnastics Champion of Germany and went on to study classical and contemporary dance in Frankfurt. Kristin performed for a wide variety of international dance and theatre companies, including Cirque du Soleil and her audiences have seen her perform solo roles from Carmen to The Dying Swan, from greek and domestic goddesses to mermaids, vampires and wicked uncles. She has choreographed for and performed in music videos, films, theatre plays, art installations and fashion shows around the world and is currently a dancer with the Mark Bruce Company.
Kristin has lectured in dance and interdisciplinary art practice at Dartington College of Arts, the University of Lincoln and Bath Spa University.
